What’s POOL Wines?

POOL began with four childhood friends, Tim, Al, Ed and Darcy, and a shared urge to make wine their own way. What started as a hobby became a serious project after their first vintage in 2019, built from half a tonne of local Shiraz and a lot of curiosity. Since then, POOL has grown into one of Central Victoria’s most exciting natural wine labels, working with fruit from Kyneton, Macedon, Heathcote and surrounds. The approach is simple: source responsibly farmed fruit close to home, pick by hand whenever possible, and let the wine find its shape without sulphur, fining or filtration. The result is wine that feels bright, loose, alive and full of character, made by people who care as much about farming and friendship as what ends up in the glass.

Tim, Al, Ed & Darcy

POOL is a true shared project. Tim Flynn, Darcy Muller, Alex Servinis and Ed Curnow are involved across the whole process, from sourcing fruit and working in the vineyard to winemaking, labels, logistics and getting bottles into the world. With different skills, perspectives and plenty of ideas between them, the four have built POOL as a collaborative label grounded in friendship, learning and doing things thoughtfully.

“We want POOL to make wines that feel vibrant, interesting and alive, while staying true to the values that matter to us: sustainability, low intervention and not touching what doesn’t need to be touched.”
